VICTIMS OF ILLICIT DRUGS
February 03, 2026
Partnership Will Bring Fentanyl Awareness Opportunities to College Campuses
Dear ,
After multiple years of working together, we are truly excited and honored to officially announce a new partnership between Stop The V.O.I.D. "Victims Of Illicit Drugs" and Leadership Initiatives.
This collaboration brings together two organizations deeply committed to education, leadership, and saving lives. V.O.I.D. brings powerful, lifesaving education rooted in lived experience.
Leadership Initiatives brings young leaders who want to make real change! By combining V.O.I.D.'s advocacy and real-world experience with Leadership Initiatives' extensive array of motivated students and their reach across college campuses and Greek life, we are expanding awareness of the dangers of illicit fentanyl and empowering students to make informed, life-saving decisions.
Together, we share a responsibility to equip future leaders with the knowledge, tools, and perspective needed to address critical public safety challenges through education, prevention, awareness and action.
This partnership will also create an invaluable learning opportunity for Leadership Initiatives interns across national security, cybersecurity, public health, and related fields. Through this work, students will gain firsthand exposure to the impact of preventative campaigns, public health education, and community-based safety initiatives, connecting classroom learning with
real-world outcomes that protect lives.
Together, we can make a difference.
Together, we're helping students lead change that saves lives.
Sincerely,
Jaime Puerta President, V.O.I.D.
VOID was formed to bring to the public’s attention, through education, awareness and legislative advocacy, the immediate danger of sudden death associated with the use of illicit drugs, in particular FENTANYL, and other emerging synthetic analogs. This will be accomplished through
the creation of a network of private, state and national governmental organizations, working together, to provide knowledge, preventive tools, and proposed legislation necessary to reduce the number of deaths occurring through this ever-increasing scourge confronting our society. We will speak on behalf of our loved ones, who can no longer speak for themselves.
