As Giving Tuesday arrives, I find myself thinking about Daniel—as I do every day—and about the reason V.O.I.D. exists at all. My son should still be here. Your loved ones should still be here. None of us asked to be in this fight, but here we are, holding each other up and refusing to stay silent.
I want to start by thanking you. Truly. Your support, your messages, your presence at events, your willingness to share your stories—these are the things that keep me and every one on our team going. This work is heavy. It is painful. But it is also necessary, and we are making
a difference because we are doing it together.
This year has taken me, Steve, Chris and Mathew into classrooms, onto school stages, to the FBI National Academy several times and into the halls of Congress. I testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee for
"The Halt Fentanyl Act", and advocated, argued, and begged for people to understand what illicit fentanyl is doing to our communities. And every time we speak, we're not just speaking for our children—we are speaking for yours too, and for the families who don't yet realize how close this danger is.
We're pushing hard for stronger education in schools and for accountability where it's desperately needed. We're meeting with parents who are terrified and with students who have no idea how deadly one pill can be. We're trying to save lives in a world where counterfeit pills are everywhere and too many kids believe they're safe.
Your support today helps us keep doing this work. It helps us:
- Bring honest, life saving fentanyl education to middle schools, high schools, and colleges
- Get Dead on Arrival and our free curriculum and other resources into more classrooms
- Advocate for Illicit Fentanyl Education so that every student in America is taught the truth about this nefarious
poison that has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives
- Provide guidance to schools, families, and communities who feel overwhelmed and unprepared
- Fight for the changes that should have happened long ago
If you're able to give today, please know it makes a real difference. It helps us reach the next family before tragedy strikes. It helps us honor the loved ones we lost by protecting someone else's child.
And if you can't donate right now, we understand. Sharing our mission, telling others about the danger, or simply keeping this effort in your heart matters just as much.
Thank you for walking this path with us. Thank you for helping transform grief into
purpose. And thank you for believing—like we do—that we can protect others, and that our loved ones' stories will continue to save lives.
